This is definitely a braggy parent post. I am so darn proud of this girl I can't help showing her off a little. Isabell did the Sonatina festival for the first time this year. Both she and I were new to this and had no idea what to expect. Bell learned and memorized a song for the big day. In the morning she had to play her song for a judge, by herself. I know I would have been freaking out nervous about doing this. Then the judge picks the top two to play at a concert that night. We were thrilled when Isabell found out she was to be one of the two.

Lucky for us, some nice mom told us what to expect at the concert. So that we were a little more prepared. They are expected to come out onto a stage, by themselves, and play their song for the audience on a Steinway grand piano. I was so sick with worry for her. It wasn't that I was worried about whether or not she would win. I could only imagine how incredibly scary that would be.

She was so brave and did such a great job. She was dissapointed that she didn't come in first. I keep telling her that 2nd is great too. I am amazed that a little 9 year old would dedicate so much time to learning and performing her song.
I would have loved to post the video of her performance but since I messed up the filming...dang. Hopefully we will get another chance sometime!
